"The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one." -Mark Twain

January is a clean slate. A time to start anew. As such, our house has been undergoing some ruthless cleaning and purging and dusting away of the holiday cobwebs. Furniture is rearranged, cabinets are polished, floors are mopped. Our house is clean, and are hearts are a little freer. I'm also studying for midterms at the end of the week. Let's just say I'll be so glad when they're over. Projects that have been hanging over us for the past few months are finally getting finished and put away. Goals are being accomplished.
Between studying and cleaning though, we've found time to eat baked apples, play Phase 10, spread out a huge puzzle on the dining room table, Skype with friends, and ooh and ahh at the snow that falls outside.
Our weekend, too, was restful, for which I am thankful.
Happy Monday!
