Cousinly Goodbye Party
Yesterday we were treated to a very nice party at my great uncle and aunt’s home. It was a combination of goodbye party and and a graduation party for my aunt who, after many years, has finally finished college. We saw many cousins whom we have not seen in a long time, and caught up a good deal on their lives. Because they live about two hours north, we don’t get to see any of them very often. Anyway, after a failed attempt to transport two of our five chickens to my cousin, we arrived safely and were greeted with many hugs.
They have a beautiful yard, with lots of room for playing. We definitely spent over an hour running around playing games thought up by cousin Kelli.
And then our dear cousin Suzanne brought a piñata! Lots of fun, and even though others may have been disappointed that there was fruit-leather and nuts and m&m’s and pretzels in it, I was quite happy and have been eating the fruit leather all morning.
Andrew also became quite accomplished at throwing the tennis ball for Bear.
And we got a beautiful picture of almost the entire Lind family.
A very happy afternoon, filled with very happy people, lots of food and heaps and heaps of sunshine.
Thanks cousins, for a lovely send off.
