two words

The other day, I did one of those "wordle" things for the blog, just for fun, and the two biggest words that came up were people and love. I love that. After our salvation, love and people are the two best gifts God gave us. And really, we are saved because we love. But back to what I was saying, I love that those two words make the biggest appearance on my blog. Because I love people. A lot. They're one of my very favorite things.

I want my home to be a place where people want to come. Where they feel welcome and loved. And my home can mean more that just a house with four walls. I can bring them into my heart and make them feel welcome and loved just because they're around me.

But it's a choice I have to make. I have to decide to make the extra effort. The few words that can make a person feel warm and happy. Or do I just leave well enough alone?

I say, God gave us a mission. A mission to love. We love because He first loved us.

Is that what we're showing? Is that what people see from us? Are we answering the call? I think no matter where we are in life there is always more room in our hearts to love. Always.

We had lunch with my dad's family and I loved the afternoon we spent together, loving and laughing. There are so many amazing people in this world. It's a sinful world but also a good one.
