Freiburg, the Christmas market

Last weekend my mother and sister and I had a night out on the town. We drove up to Germany and visited the Freiburg Christmas market, one of the best of it's kind. We walked from stall to stall admiring felted bags, carved nativities, paper stars, dried fruit, glass balls and all sorts of other handmade wonders. When we got cold and hungry we munched on good German sausage and sipped Gluhwein and Kinderpunsch. By the end our arms were laden with numerous bags filled with treasures. I wasn't feeling well so the pictures are few, but on the other hand, the memories are many and I can tell that this will become a tradition.

  2. This looks amazing! The US doesn't really have anything like this! I would love to live in Germany, or at least be close enough to visit for the weekend :)
