“The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."
--J.R.R. Tolkein

My beautiful, dreaming, literary sister turned fourteen this week.

These photos are from February, when the sun came out and we dreamed of Spring. It's here now, and she's marked another milestone on the Road. And I don't know the gritty details, but the grand scheme of the things that lie ahead is pretty exciting. We say hooray for exciting!
