in which I talk about spring, spring break, + skiing

Spring is settling in here, rooting herself deeply into our wet soil. We were all too ready to herald her coming! Hooray for the birth of new green! The cherry trees are in full blossom, their branches thick with flowers, and our sinuses can forgive the pollen because, hello, blossoming trees are well worth the price.

Winter quarter wrapped up last week, and I am super thankful to be forgoing my long commute and be that much closer to the end of the school year. My goals going into this two week interlude consisted of eating, reading, going to IKEA, sleeping, eating, reading, going to Costco, eating, sleeping, reading, eating, and sleeping. So far, so good.

Anyway, now that we are mostly settled into our new house (!) we wanted to hit the slopes before the season passed us by. Sooooo, we did. If only everything in life was so uncomplicated! Saturday dawned sunny and clear, the snow was fresh, and my heart received its necessary dose of mountains.
