the promised land
And all shall be well, they say, Their words barely a
whisper in the wind, but full of hope to us. This too shall come to pass away
and the word shall be made flesh once again. Fear not, for all
of the trappings and shreds of this old, dirty world will be wiped away and the
new world, infinitely more brilliant, will at last shine through in its
magnificence. No more glimpses and leaks. This will be real thing. All the
sorrow in this land of shadows are harmless when compared to the
joys of the new country. Well, new to you, they add. There are some who have
known it since the beginning of time. But there will come a day when you, too,
shall clap your weary eyes on it and shout for the joy of seeing it. In time you will come to the promised land. You will make it safely home.
